You may find these Adobe PhotoShop books
useful when you create your own eCovers with the Adobe Photoshop
software:
Skyrocket your
Ebook sales with a great cover.
It's
true... people DO judge Ebooks -and other
products- by their cover. A well designed cover
will make a statement, and your product will stand
out from the rest... what means that you will sell
more copies.
When I removed my "worn out" Ecover on the sales page
for my "Web Site and Ezine Promotion Made
Easy" book, and replaced it with an Ecover that I had
designed for me by a professional graphic designer, I
noticed an increase in sales within the
first 48
hours!
So, if you plan to sell BIG... be sure to create
a stunning cover for your product.
When it comes time to give your Ebook the best cover
treatment, you have many options.
There are software tools available that will let you do
all the work, and there are a number of skilled
designers that you can contract to design your Ecover
for you.
If
you're looking for an easy to use program,
that will create unlimited and stunning
ecovers for your Ebooks/CD's, etc, then get

Below are 2 services that I have personally used to
create covers for me in the past, so I can recommend
them without any doubt...
I have used Ovi Dogar's excellent Ecover creation and
design company for several
Ebooks that I wrote. Ovi offers fast customer support,
and doesn't charge you before
you are absolutely satisfied with the result. Ovi sends
you the finished cover once
done, and you don't pay him if you're not 100% satisfied
with the design. Click here to

- Vaughan Davidson's Killer Covers
Vaughan Davidson also offers an excellent
service, but he is a little more expensive
than Ovi. Vaughan is a designer with a great deal of
experience in sales and online
marketing. He has created some famous covers, that still
capture the attention of
many people online, and he charges $99 for a cover.

Adobe
PhotoShop Template Packages
If you don't want to hire a professional, or if you
don't have the money to pay one, then
you can work with an Ecover template package. These
packages contain Ebook cover
templates that are already designed for you, and all you
need to do is enter your own
copy -or add additional graphics- and you'll have your
cover ready in no time. (A copy
of Adobe PhotoShop is required to use these templates,
but if you don't have a copy,
you can
get a free trial from here.)
Click here to see a template package that I also
use to create "hard back" Ebooks.
This package contains over 100 Ebook covers and software
boxes, and will also allow
you to create great looking headers for only pennies
each. If you're new to cover design,
and don't want to spend much money, then this may be
just right for you.
But...
why not go professional with Adobe PhotoShop Action
Scripts? ;-)
It's really not that hard as you may think to create
professional graphics. And if you have
a copy of the
Adobe Photoshop
software, there's really no limit to your creativity.
With PhotoShop you can use "PhotoShop Action Scripts".
These Actions Scripts are
a pre-programmed set of layout instructions for
PhotoShop, and when they are executed
from within Photoshop, they create your final graphics -
be it a stunning software box,
a papperback Ebook, a membership card or a DVD/CD
case/cover.
As I said, to use these action scripts, you require a
copy of Adobe PhotoShop -you can download a
30 day trial copy here - and some graphic skills to
create the initial 2D design.
Then you run one of the action scripts to generate the
final, high-resolution 3D design complete with shadows
and reflections. This is exactly how the professional
ecover graphic artists do it.
My favorite ones are a set called
"eCover Scripts"This is a great collection of
PhotoShop action scripts. Get your hands on these, and
in no time you will be creating dynamite looking covers.
PS: If you start designing your Ecovers, you will
need a vast collection of clipart, photo's,
images and graphics to add/fill your Ecover.
You
may also find some of the following books
useful for creating your own ebook covers. I
especially recommend Scott Kelby's excellent
PhotoShop manuals, as they contain tons of
easy to implement tutorials to create
stunning graphics. Click on one of the book
covers for more details.
